Obamacare, Destroying Patient Choice, Health Care Quality And Enslaving Future Generations.

HR 3200, is a work in process.  The bill has emerged from two of the the three House Committees having responsibility, but is stalled in Henry Waxman's Energy and Commerce Committee. Remember the old joke, about how can you tell a horse designed by a committee?  Simple - it has 2 humps.

Sadly, there is more truth than humor to that joke.  It is no different here.  This bill is not about health care.  As is their practice and desire, Nancy Pelosi, Barack Obama and Harry Reid never met a dollar of income they did not want to steal from those that earned it to give to someone that did not.  They of course took that to heart when they wrote this bill.

Like Cap & Tax, the leadership wrote this bill to the exclusion of the general membership of the House.  Republicans and moderate Democrats alike have been largely excluded from the process as the troika have moved to rush this bill through before anyone in the public could read and understand it in the same manner in which they pushed Cap & Tax through the House.  Unfortunately for them, many member who voted for Cap & Tax, went home for the holiday recess and faced crowds like this:

People are becoming aware of some of the bad things hidden in the 1,000 page bill.  And the blowback is falling on the troika. I have read most of the bill and am aware of much of the very bad things that are waiting to be discovered.  To that end, I created a slide show presentation that takes about 5 minutes to get through.  I document the job destroying, patient choice destroying, quality destroying, life destroying aspects of the bill along with the budget busting shortcomings that all cry out for this bill to be defeated. Now that you have seen the presentation, you must take action.  You need to contact your Congressman.  If you do not know where, who or how, click this link and it will open a window where you can find your Congressman and Senator.  Here you will find your Senator and Congressman's phone number, fax number and a link to their e-mail form.  Call them, e-mail them and FAX them.  Faxes are very effective.

After your state Senator and Congressman, you need to call, Fax and e-mail the Blue Dog Democrats in the House.  They are key to defeating this bill.  You can find the phone and  fax numbers for the Blue Dog Democrats at The41stVote. You can import this file to outlook or other FAX software.  Fax them, Call them and e-mail them.  One important tip.  You will be asked for your address or your zip code.  There are two ways to handle this.  You can either get the address of your Congressman's in-district office and use that zip, or...simply answer them that you are a resident of his district and it would not be wise to ignore your call.
