Palin's Resignation May Reveal Real Political Astuteness

Palin's Resignation Plan Leaves Mysteries in Its Wake - Alaska's GOP Gov. Sarah Palin left Republicans and Democrats alike scratching their heads on Friday after the former vice presidential nominee announced she would resign with two years left in her term. [Roll Call Politics]

Pundits, particularly Democrat pundits nearly saw their heads explode on Saturday as they went into full whirl over the resignation of Sarah Palin as Governor of Alaska, some GOP pundits, many probably favoring someone else as their candidate of choice for the GOP nod in 2012.  Some claim it is a precursor to the release of "scandalous" revelations.  Others say she is quitting, or is erratic.  The smart money will sit and wait for Sarah Palin to reveal her intentions.  She is singularly an individualists that resists profiling with any real accuracy. She is experienced, not categorized. That is the essence of her appeal to the common sense working base of the GOP.  She seems completely devoid of harboring pretention, or even understanding its existence.  That is one of her more endearing qualities.

First of all, self-righteous prognosticators that judge a person without having experienced what the Governor has since accepting the Vice Presidential nomination ought to reserve their judgments for someone who cares.  The fact is that Sarah Palin has been under a withering legal attack with 18 baseless, frivolous ethics complaints filed against her by Democrat operatives, financed in many cases by George Soros funded organizations. The liberals so fear her potential to challenge the One, they unleashed an attack that easily points out why MoveOn.org and Acorn activists should be forced to register their home address so the neighbors will know where the most dangerous locations are in the neighborhood.The Governor and her husband accumulated over $ 500,000 dollars in legal bills a s a result.. 

Free of the legal attacks, Sarah Palin can assume the position for which she seems to have been chosen, that of a true conservative Icon in the GOP.  We are severely short of them currently, especially one that embodies the hopes and dreams of women as well (I mean mothers and their daughters).  She can use her pulpit to criticize the wholesale Socialist attack the Obama adminstration has unleashed on the U.S. way of life and the Keystone Cops approach to Foreign Policy the Administration seems to have adopted as it trods down the path of on-the-job training.  She also will have the benefit of learning cleary, the manner and breadth of arrogance and enmity the worlds tyrants are capable of when faced with a weak and vacilating imposter as a leader of the free world (seemingly dissatisfied with the role) .

She can also continue her self deprecating, sacrificial service to the GOP as she develops the connections she will need to develop a truly world class team should she pursue the nomination either in 2012 or 2016 (something nowhere in evidence in the McCain Campaign which so dreadfully managed the campaign).  Sarah Palin single- handedly saved the election from being a Jimmy Carter or George McGovern style throttling of the GOP.  She handled herself with more dignity, competence and courage than any  mortal could given the incompetent, agenda-laden handling she endured at the hands of Nicole Wallace (the incompetent manager appointed to her).   McCain had trouble drawing any crowds and the base had abandoned him before he selected the Governor.  This singular act saved the Senator's election loss from becoming one that carried a footnote attesting to a massive landslide.

As to allegations she was quitting on her constituents, it is pretty hard to argue the point as Alaska is in excellent fiscal shape (one of only 2 states in the U.S. that can claim so).  The Governor cut spending by 11% in the last budget, rejected stimulus funds designed to rob her of her sovereign power as Governor and left a State with a promising future - if Cap & Trade can be defeated.  If it is not, Alaska will be in for very difficult times indeed, all at the hands of the Democrats massive global warming tax all while watching continuous attacks on the financial well being of her family and the withering classless attacks on her children (all of them).

The liberals will go into high gear, their heads spinning with fear and trepidation that Sarah Palin will run and resurrect and capture the women's vote that Obama had to isolate in order to win the nomination.  A great many supporters of Hillary Clinton , jumped on the Sarah Palin bandwagon as they witnessed the withering liberal attacks on Hillary from the thugish school of Chicago politics.  Over the course of the next three years they will both exhaust themselves and reveal themselves for the evil, thug associates of a Socialist who learned the most base instincts of politics from some of the most character challenged group of mentors available on the planet (Wright, Ayers, Frank Marshall Davis, Bernadine Dohrn)

By resigning, she neuters these attacks and does the right thing by Alaskans who were more and more deprived of her attentions and she fought the allegations.  If there were any real justice, the statute abused by these charlatans in pursuing their psychotic fear and hatred of Sarah Palin would be forced to pay the costs of the Governor in defending the allegations which have all been found to be baseless.

No matter what her plans, the GOP already owes her a debt for her sacrifice and continued commitment to the GOP.  Anyone who frightens liberals as much as Sarah Palin is someone for the GOP to nurture and treasure.
